Answers to Bible Difficulties

The Bible seems to have contradictions. For example, Judas' method of demise.

Matthew 10:10, Mark 6:8 and Luke 9:3 seem to speak of the same command from Jesus but there seems to be a contradiction. Were they told to take a staff or not?

In Exodus 6:3 God tells Moses that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did not know God's name "Jehovah" when that name of God is, in fact, communicated to the patriarchs as evidenced in Abraham's naming of a place "Jehovah-jireh" (Gen. 22:14) and elsewhere. Is this a contradiction?
