I saw a couple badgers in the area but didn't get a photo. This one was a resident of Wild Eyes, a game farm, used for motion pictures and photographers. When they dug a shallow hole in dirt and placed him in it, he started digging. He could dig faster than a backhoe. Badgers have a very even temper, they're mad all the time.

Colin Smith, an old photo buddy, and I started out on the Highline Trail early one morning in search of the sheep. Colin suggested we take some water but I says "No, we'll only be gone a couple hours." Big mistake! By the time we found the sheep and got some photos, we were digging into some old snow banks for anything to wet our whistle. Thankfully this guy posed long enough to get some decent shots.

Possibly the most photographed scene in the park but how can not take just one more?

Sometimes you ARE at the right place at the right time.

Watch for these guys in the early morning when they emerge from their dens to warm up on the rocks.

Called the ambassador of Glacier, these gentle animals are fascinating to watch as they navigate the steep slopes.

This tame fox posed among the wildflowers of the area.
