Madre Grande Monastery is the international headquarters
of The Paracelsian Order, a California non-profit, religious corporation. The Order’s
purpose is to be a religious, monastic, healing and teaching order. The Order accepts men
and women of all ages, religions, and cultural expressions. We encourage all to live
according to a positive path, leading to spiritual perfection.
The Monastery is a temple
for all religions, a natural preserve, and the private residence of its monks. Our goal in
the monastery is to live our lives devoted to our spiritual purposes, while living in
harmony with our natural environment.
This sanctuary is a place
where nature is highly valued, where one can find one’s place in the greater order
and journey back to the world enriched and renewed. This land is kept pure in honor of the
ancestors that originally inhabited the land, and for the generations yet to come. All of
our water is untreated and comes from our wells and springs.
