Your Responsibilities:

Every Participant must:

• Read, know and follow the Retreat Rules;
• Provide their own camping equipment and cooking utensils - walk-in camping only!;
• Provide their own food and drinking water;
• Use stoves only in the designated cooking areas;
• Exercise the utmost caution and good judgment regarding fire safety;
• Use only soaps and shampoos provided by the monastery, and only in the sinks and showers provided;
• Leave No Trace;
• Be responsible for packing out all their own trash;
• Be watchful and careful not to damage or disturb any of the shrines, medicine wheels, power circles or other features of the monastery grounds;
• Read and observe the Madre Grande Monastery’s Guidelines for Guests;
• Drive and park only on designated roads and parking areas. Tire tracks are a trace! Once a vehicle has been parked, it may not be moved again except to leave the monastery;
• Participate -  Registrants will take part in a retreat to have their own experience, not spectate at a show while others have experiences for them; and
• Assume full responsibility for their own health and safety while visiting the monastery grounds. Every one must sign a release form in order to enter the monastery grounds which acknowledges that you are assuming the risk of injury by asking to participate in this retreat.
