Retreat Rules: (See Participant Responsibilities)

The following are Absolute Rules governing this retreat. There are not many, they don't ask much, but there may be some surprises and they are all very important:

• No persons under 21 years of age* may participate in this retreat;
• No one may enter the private monastery grounds without a confirmed reservation;
• No perfumes, ointments, cremes or lotions in the showers, lakes, springs or pools;
• No soaps, shampoos, or dish soaps may be used on Monastery grounds (groundwater friendly products will be provided with showers and sinks);
• No vending of anything on the monastery grounds, especially drugs or alcohol. No advertising and no commercial sponsorships. Nothing will be for sale during this retreat;
• No littering of any kind, whatsoever, at all - don’t let it hit the ground and leave no trace;
• No parking on the meadows - tire tracks are a trace. Walk in camping only;
• No driving or riding on the meadows or trails, even with bicycles. This really is a landscape to be experienced onfoot;
• No weapons or firearms;
• No fireworks or other pyrotechnics;
• No fires or stoves except in specifically designated areas;
• No pets;
• No glass bottles;
• No display or publication of photographs or video taken at the retreat without the express permission of all persons identifiable in such photographs. All art is copyrighted by its respective creators, none of whom grant permission to depict or reproduce their work without their express consent;
• No abusive, threatening or destructive behavior toward any person or property;
• No complaining if the activities of others interfere with one's sleep; and
• No in and out privileges during the retreat.

*Babes-in-arms are excepted from the requirement that Participants must be at least 21 years old. No registration fee is charged, but their parents must sign the release on their behalf.
