Master Brad Inman Master Inman has 37 years’ experience in the martial arts and holds the rank
of 5th degree black belt (Master) in Yabe Jiu Jitsu and Yang Ki Yin Jiu
Jitsu. He is the Soke Dai of Yabe and Yang Ki Yin Jiu Jitsu. He is a Shihan of the founder of Yang Ki
Yin Jiu Jitsu, Professor Milton A. Gowdy, Soke Emeritus. Master Inman began studying
the martial arts at the age of six in the sport of Judo. Inman says that his
study of the martial arts has followed and guided him throughout his life.
When he was sixteen, Inman met Professor Milton A. Gowdey, a police officer
and martial artist. Professor Gowdey was impressed by Inman’s drive and
willingness to learn. He decided to take him "under his wing" and
taught him Yabe and Yang Ki Yin Jiu Jitsu. This training led to acheiving the
level of "Soke Dai", which means "Next to carry on the system." Professor Gowdey had a strong commitment to
training law enforcement. Master Inman felt compelled to continue this
commitment to officer training and survival upon Proffesor Gowdey's death. Sensei Inman has been in law enforcement since 1979 and a Deputy Sheriff
with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department in Sensei Inman is well known throughout the Some of the courses that Sensei Inman is certified to teach are: |
