Our Values
We both grew up in very close, loving families and tight-knit communities, and we have always wanted to recreate that happy childhood experience for our own child. We realize that the most valuable thing we can give our child is our time. The time we spend together molds the child's very foundation - his/her emotional connection, values, and character. We take this responsibility very seriously, and will make it our first priority.

We were raised to appreciate the value of everything in life and to enjoy it, but with an understanding that there is a balance between embracing life and taking it for granted. We want our child to enjoy everything that life has to offer, but with appreciation and respect. One way we will strive to instill this balance in our child is by exposing him/her to a variety of cultures, so that his/her world view goes beyond the United States and to help him/her appreciate the opportunities we have in this country.

On Education
Once our child reaches school age, we will take the quality of his/her education seriously. While our local schools are state-of-the-art, we will closely evaluate them for ourselves as our child enters the school system. Should we feel the public schools are lacking at that time, we will explore the many private schools nearby.

On Religion
We also think it is important that our child receive a spiritual education. We believe religious education provides an important perspective for a child, and that knowing there is more than life on earth and the importance of finding your place in the world is as valuable as learning to read, write, and calculate. It also supports the teaching of values.
