Here is a pride of lions numbering about 25 that we came upon just after they brought down a zebra. The sound was intense as we sat 20 feet away while they completely devoured the zebra in a matter of 15 minutes. As we sat in awe, one of the 3 month old cubs left the pride and walked straight up to our open air safari vehicle, stopping only a foot away from where we sat. She stopped and looked at each one of the 4 people in the vehicle as we wondered what to do if she decided to climb in; she then turned and walked back to mom!

This adventure took place on a night game drive while staying at Richard's Camp, just outside of the Maasai Mara game reserve in Kenya. Upon return to camp, I had a hot bath under the stars in a quaint candle lit spa area set up near camp.
