Wedding
planning resources: marriage license information, vows, readings,
customs
& traditions, ceremony & reception locations, etc.
I am honored to perform weddings,
marriage ceremonies and vow renewals indoors or outdoors at the place of your
choosing throughout central
I would be glad to meet with you
and your fiancé to begin planning your wedding! The vast majority of couples
prefer a ceremony approximately 30 minutes in length. However, the
planning process generally takes an hour or two to plan a ceremony you will
fondly remember for eternity. If perhaps your schedule is too busy or you live
a substantial distance we can certainly discuss your possibilities on the
telephone but clearly a meeting is ideal.
You can have a ceremony like no
other you have ever seen, anywhere you like. More and more weddings are
far from typical, what is important is for you to have just what you
want. Based on our discussion of your dreams, your wedding ceremony will
be uniquely yours by being completely personalized and customized. Should
you wish to share things about how you met and fell in love or what you think
is so special about the other we can incorporate this into the ceremony as you
wish. Whatever you should desire, well in advance of the ceremony I will
submit to you a written script for you to review, annotate and approve.
Below you will find a number of
links that will be helpful in your effort of planning your wedding.
Needless to say, I would like to be the minister ("wedding
officiant") that you choose to help you get married! I myself have been
happily married now for over 30 years. I have four wonderful children and
five beautiful grandchildren. I know how special marriage is and look
forward to making your wedding the event of a lifetime, whether the ceremony
will take place in a hotel ballroom with 500 guests or a quiet backyard with
only a few close friends and family.
Please Note: As an ordained
minister I only perform legal wedding ceremonies between a man and a woman. I
do not perform same sex "commitment" ceremonies, "arranged"
marriages (i.e. forced against a person's will), animal "weddings",
or any other ceremony that is not recognized as legal in the states of Georgia,
Florida and Alabama. I can
perform such things as marriage vow renewals, baby blessings, baptisms, the
blessing of homes, provide general pastoral care and serve as pastor at
funerals as these services are generally accepted ministerial practices, and
have no legal ramifications. If you are interested in a service other
than a wedding, please call or email.
