Remembering george Carlin:

Join us as we celebrate & remember the life of the late "George Carlin". Carlin is famous in the free thought community for his attacks on religion (especially Christianity). We'll be viewing video clips to celebrate his genius and talent as a truly gifted comedian. Come join us on Sunday, August 17th, 2008 at 1:00pm.

NEW: S.O.S. - HASD joins the secular sobriety project (Secular organization for Sobriety):

In thes turbulent times, more and more americans are turning to drugs & alcohol to cope with the stresses of everyday life. With drug & alcohol use & abuse on the rise, it seems fitting for HASD to join the cause of those fighting for sobriety in a way that does not involve religion or supernatural sources in order to get sober. HASD President gave lecture at Atheist Coalition of San Diego's monthly meeting:

HASD President, (the illustrious Mr. Jason Frye) recently spoke at the Atheist Coalition of San Diego's monthly meeting. The main topic of interest was how to get involved in the Free Thought community here in San Diego.

We all know of the various organizations such as SDARI, The Atheist Coalition & The Humanist Fellowship of San Diego, and of course yours truly, HASD. The idea is to get as many members as possible from each organization to get involved with each other to form one truly unified whole.

There were lots of questions for the Q&A part of the meeting. Everone discussed their ideas that might enhance our efforts, which yielded in progess. People exchanged contact information so that everyone will be on a more level playing field. After all - we're all trying to fight against the RADICAL CHRISTIAN RIGHT, right? Good. You understand now.

Listen peole! We know that times are tough right now and that our contry is headed into a Depression. That means we all must use our financial resources as wisely as possible. We know the American dollar is losing it's value extremely rapidly. We don't know what's going to happen next.

Everyone we know is being hit by the disgusting rise of all prices of everything! Even still, if you have a few bucks to spare, HASD would greatly appreciate your support. We will not, cannot and must not stop what we're doing for the community of San Diego. Period!
