In terms of correspondence, "to dare" is generally correlated with water and emotion.
Daring to practice your religion can be an incredibly difficult task requiring great courage. Some of us hide our religious views and opinions for fear of what others may do to us if they knew. Luckily, not all of us face the extreme prejudice and hatred other pagans deal with regularly. Although this makes practicing our religion easier, it by no means implies that magick is without danger.
Do you dare perform magick? If a thought like this has never crossed your mind, you may have already experienced the negative effects of the magick you've worked. Magick is the process of exacting change, and change rarely comes without a price. Sometimes it's pain, sometimes it's discomfort, and assuming that you are performing magick to institute positive change in your life, the negative effects may not always be directed at you. Magick often affects other. If you perform a spell to get a promotion, someone else had to lose it in order for you to gain. If you perform a spell to bring money, a relative may die and leave you an inheritance - certainly bad from the point of view of the relative. This is why, although you may think that you're trying to accomplish something "good," you need to consider what other consequences might occur. This ties in with the concept of "to know." Know the consequences. Consider them careful. Decide whether they're worth risking. Once you make a choice, you need to stick with it and be unwavering in your commitment to it ("to will"). Then you need to DO it. Dare to succeed.
People of strong character, people we admire and look up to, are often perceived as being courageous. Often this means taking risks and daring to succeed. Sometimes you fail, but you have learned from the experience either way, so it is never without merit. Don't be afraid to make mistakes - they're often our best teachers. Remember, no one follows the same path, and there is no right or wrong way to live life. All we can do is our best, and that doesn't happen by sitting at home every day and "playing it safe." After all, you never know what might happen until you try.
Change begins with imagination. You imagine a reality other than what you know. You dare to "think outside the box." Dare to imagine yourself as you would like to be. Dare to imagine your life as you wish it were. Dare to imagine the ways to get the things you want. Then dare to get them.
Be daring:
Imagination is the voice of daring. If there is anything Godlike about God it is that. He dared to imagine everything.
-- Henry Miller (1891-1980)
