Here are some of my favorite personal recipes:

Ritual Incense

If you buy these items unground, grind them yourself in a mortal and pestle (the frankincense and myrrh are a gum and so will be a little difficult). Combine equal part of each in a bowl and stir until mixed. Unlike some incense, this smells quite pleasant when burned, provided one doesn't use too much.

Incense properties: protection, purification, cleansing, concentration, energy and spiritual awareness

To use: sprinkle onto lighted charcoal (in a censer) as desired

Bath Salts

Combine in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Add essential or fragrance oils as desired. I often put in food coloring as well, to add to the properties of the salts I make. When adding oils or coloring, mix thoroughly for several minutes until there are no lumps and the scent seems to be mixed throughout.

Bath salt properties: purification, cleansing, centering

To use: add as much as desired (generally not over ½ to ¾ cup) to bath water

*Note: This is the simplest recipe I've found. I got it at the Jaguar Moon Cyber Coven. They credited the recipe to Scoot Cunningham, from his book "Incenses, Oils and Brews." The site also contains several recipes for scented bath salts.
