Our design process goes like this.
At ACE Design Group, we utilize what we call the Four D process of designing eBusiness and eCommerce sites. It gets its name from the four stages of the process: Discovery, Design, Development, and Deployment.
Discovery.
In order to successfully leverage your brand online, we need to know everything there is to know about how you do business: how you close deals. Comprehensive information gathering and market research are needed to build a solid understanding of your business goals, target audience and business strategy. We then use the Custom Brand Experience Framework to define the project's initiatives and identify a measurable return on investment.
Design.
Visual and architectural concepts are then built around a complete understanding of your business. This is the part where you start to see some initial mockups and diagrams of how big or small this site may be based upon the project's requirements and the audience's use patterns and needs.
Development.
Time to make the donuts. With the creative strategy in place, we begin to put pen to paper, so to speak. This is the stage in which the database work, coding and other tasks are completed. Some initial testing also takes place to ensure that everything is working as it should be.
Deployment.
In the final stage, the resultant product is launched as a distinguishable creative effort. We use success metrics to determine the return on investment and help evaluate project success with reliable, easily defined results.
A non-linear process.
Unlike a lot of design houses, we don't consider the deployment of a site then end of our process. Once a site is up and running, we can then test and measure in order to improve on conversion.
Give us a holler. We'd be glad to go into more detail with you.
