This book is a pragmatic approach to the Steps of AA. It is about the legwork to recovery -- what each of us can contribute to our own sobriety, recovery and continuing growth. It is a way of looking at the Steps of AA from a practical viewpoint.
The steps are discussed is groups called Phases to better understand
their function. This book was developed as a primer to a new approach
to personal growth called EMOTIONAL SOBRIETY. The Phases are discussed
as psychological changes describing distinct progress along the
Steps. Each Phase represents a clear psychological attitudinal change
that takes place along a path of personal growth. The System of
Emotional Sobriety upon which this web-blog is the result of the
thinking generated by this new approach to the Steps.
