ConSultan Universal Binary Available Now!
ConSultan 1.01 is now available as a Universal Binary for Mac OS X 10.4.

Blazt USB Interface Compatibility Added!
Due to a bug in the Silicon Labs Mac OS X USB driver (which reports the device as a modem rather than an RS232 adapter), ConSultan formerly could not find not find the Blazt USB Consult Interface cable. By entering the following line into the Terminal application ConSultan will now list modems too:
defaults write com.Code55.ConSultan CSAllPortsConfigKey 1
Make sure you have the latest download before you try this.

ConSultan 1.0 Available Now!
ConSultan 1.0 is now available. Many bugs have been fixed:
- Sensor logging progress bar fixed.
- Hanging ("beach ball of doom")during map loading fixed.
- Address correction for 256k high ECUs works correctly.
And many new features added:
- Map loading is much faster and more stable.
- Map loading now occurs in the background with non-blocking I/O.
- Map Loading includes a progress window with a "Cancel" button.
- Download entire Nissan ECU ROMs (add a map in the appropriate .adr file that includes the entire range of your ECU's ROM).
- Load individual maps from ROM binary images.
- Improved vehicle configuration identification system.
- Much improved splash screen!
- More vehicles added to the Part Numbers database.
This will be the last update for a while, but I am open to suggestions on improving the preferences scheme (sensors, maps, chassis-engine folders...).
If you have used ConSultan before, and wish to keep your old settings, move your engine-chassis folder out of the ~/Library/ConSultan folder and into the ~/Library/ConSultan-1.0 folder.
