Did you get the question correct?

Write "yes", and you can still make suggestions and comments.

If not correct on the first attempt, write "no", and please explain why and/or make suggestions for improvement.

1 Wasn't sure what the last paragraph meant.   NA Rewrite last paragraph as follows:

At the end of the lesson, there will be a graded Posttest.  Additionally, the lesson material will be included in the graded end-of-course exam at the end of the One-handed Backhand section.

Tester was unfamiliar with the scenario that this lesson was just one of many lessons in a multi-lesson modular course.

1   Not a bad picture, but a full motion intro might be nice? NA None.  Nice suggestion, but not necessary to have video or sequence of several photos on introductory screen. NA
1   As a learner, I would prefer to see a cleaner photo on this (and following screens.) It was a little distracting to me because I kept trying to decide if the photo was in clear focus or if it was just my eyes =)   None.  Myudutu resized the photo to fit into the template.  No time to manually adjust. NA
2 To best respond to your opponent’s shot when a backhand is hit, you need to be able to determine where the ball is hit back to you.

Replace with:
To best respond to your opponent’s shot when they hit a backhand, you need to be able to determine where the ball will go as it leaves your opponents racquet.
  NA Rewrite as follows:

To best respond to your opponent’s shot when she hits a backhand, you need to be able to determine where the ball will go as it leaves your opponent's racquet.

2 Informative, clear, and concise.   NA None NA
2   Maybe use a new picture NA Reuse saves development time and reduces costs.  No action planned. NA
2 As a novice learner, it would be helpful to include a reference to the other groundstoke, so I'm not left wondering what it is. (I'm assuming it's a forehand???)   NA Rewrite first sentence as follows:

The backhand is a fundamental shot in tennis, one of the two groundstrokes (forehand and backhand) used mainly…
Completed
2   Recommend adding a concept graphic showing the baseline.

You might also consider adding two labeled photos showing the two groundstrokes….
NA None.  I need to win the $2M dollar contract first for this lesson from Andy Roddick.  Once I get the funding, then I can hire Krista W., my favorite graphic artist, to create the concept graphic for me.

Out of time (and scope) for this course, though if I had the time and "money", I would develop this lesson more fully.
NA
3 The bullet points seem off-centered, especially the first 'Remember'.. identify whether <or not>?   NA Good eye.

Delete extra space in front of the "R" in the first bullet.
Completed
3 Delete "of motion" from the first bullet.   NA Accept Completed
4 Perhaps can be included at end?   NA None NA
5 Not much to comment, good Good illustrations of different follow-throughs. NA None NA
5   I like the way this showed each important stroke.  NA None NA
5 Delete "of motion".   NA Accept Completed
5 Recommend adding a Topic Name to the Introduction Screen, to distinguish each topic as you move through the lesson. Since there's no left hand navigation bar, it is not clear to the learner what each topic is.   NA None.  Great suggestion, but I'm out of time to fix the "limitations" within myudutu LMS. NA
6 Informative, clear, and concise Just realized he is a lefty; feels that it might be hard for non-tennis players to see the low to high motion.. suggests buying a $10K Canon lol NA None.  I would love to upgrade my camera to the latest professional Canon EOS.

Side view is adequate to illustrate low to high motion.
NA
6   I really liked this one NA None NA
6 Delete "in the same direction of motion".   NA Accept Completed
6   I don’t see a picture that shows the racquet below the ball that would show the low aspect of the swing.   None.

Keep sequence of photos as is.  Adding a low shot would require re-sizing all the pictures so that it fits on the screen.  Unfortunately, I don't have time to implement, even though this is a great suggestion.
NA
7 Informative, clear, and concise Good illustrations NA None NA
8 Good N/A Yes None NA
8     No. I didn't read all the answers thoroughly. I was also looking to see the incorrect feedback. It would be helpful to provide a memory tip (like supplemental content) to help the learner remember low to high rather than high to low. Add "Remember" to screen 7.

Remember that a topspin backhand follow-through goes from low to high, while an underspin backhand follow-through goes from high to low.

9 Recommend adding a Topic Name to the Introduction Screen, to distinguish each topic as you move through the lesson. Since there's no left hand navigation bar, it is not clear to the learner what each topic is.   NA None.  Great suggestion, but I'm out of time to fix the "limitations" within myudutu LMS. NA
10 shot <is> instead of 'it'; <however> instead of 'but'; otherwise clear.   NA Change "it" to "is".

No change on "But".

11 Good Nice, the guy in the blue is hot. xD NA Thanks.  I've been working out. NA
11   Great video NA Thank you. NA
12 Good Got Agassi? Yes None NA
12     Yes. However, I really had to think about the correct terminology, because I didn't remember seeing the words paired together prior to this challenge question (i.e. flat backhand, underspin backhand). Recommend calling out the different types of backhands as a bulleted list on screen 7, then explaining each one. Rewrite screen 7 as follows:

When you compare a topspin backhand to the other two types of backhand shots, the topspin follow-through is very distinctive.  For the three types of backhands, their follow-through can be described as follows:

Topspin
Follow-through goes from low to high
Flat
Follow-through is more level, traveling on a “straight" path across a tennis player’s chest
Underspin (Slice)
Follow-through tgoes from high to low

Remember that a topspin backhand follow-through goes from low to high, while an underspin backhand follow-through goes from high to low.
Completed
12     Also, serve is not covered in the lesson - so answering this portion was based entirely on prior knowledge. Recommend modifying the text on the screen or somewhere earlier in the lesson to address this portion of the challenge question. Out of scope and no time to develop new content.  Instead, add the following hint to the question:

Hint for bonus photo (shot in photo not taught during this lesson):  Professional tennis player, Andre Agassi, serving.

14   Recommend adding a concept graphic showing down-the-line and crosscourt for learners unfamiliar with these terms.

15 Good Camera angle for cross-court should have been same. NA None.

Wish I had more cameras and more time.  Where were you on the day of filming.  I could have used the extra directors.  :)
NA
15   I like the first part of the video but the second part(cross court shots) would have been more effective from a different angle NA None.

21 Clear labeling of examples Exaggerated difference very effective. NA None NA
21   Can you also include the video where your son is hitting down the line at the basket from behind to add visual clarity? So you would have three videos. NA None.

Differrence between existing two videos is good enough to illustrate the point of this topic.
NA
21 Remove "(the basket)" from Description 1. Since you can't see the basket in the video clip, it is not relevant to the learner.   NA Accept Completed

27 Question is misleading.  Does not exactly test what was in the lesson.  Suggest changing the answers so that the correct answer is listed. N/A Correct answer not listed for the question as it is currently worded. Instead of changing the distracters, I reworded the test question so that the correct answer already "programmed" is actually the corrrect one.  This action also aligns the question better to the lesson content.  Reworded as follows:

A tennis player hitting a one-handed topspin backhand, can increase shot accuracy by:

27 It may confusing to you use the phrase “hone in” when you’ve used “increase accuracy” in the lesson. N/A Yes None.  Already taken care of by previous action taken on similar comment. NA

28 Learner should receive another "Congratulations" type message when completed with the Posttest.   NA Accept.  Rewrite last screen as follows:

Congratulations on successfully completing the lesson posttest!

If you are finished, click exit to close this lesson.

General Gerry, this is a very cool lesson! I learned a lot about tennis, too.  The videos are a great help and the lesson is well-organized and clear in its explanations. Great job!   NA None NA
General   Is it possible to have complete learner control of the video? I found it distracting to see the video and try to read the text on the screen, even though I could replay the video after I read the text. NA None.

Video controls are currently determined by the myudutu software.  It's possible that future versions of this LMS may allow for complete learner control of video playback.
NA
General   Graphics in this lesson are used effectively and aligns perfectly with the lesson content - looks great! NA Thanks.  NA
