From an ESPN news article:
Matsui did not homer in 41 swings during his second day of live batting practice. He went deep six times in 67 pitches on Tuesday. "Today, I got too many outside balls," Matsui said.
Do the Japanese players stand away from the plate like MLB used to do? Does Matsui? If so, then won't he be extremely vulnerable in MLB with the pitchers attacking the outside the plate? Won't his Japanese stats, especially the power stats, compare unfavorably with his Japanese MLEs?
