To further my quest in being the most compreshensive site about Longshot, I thought I'd list all the comics Longshot shows up in, even if it's for a panel. I even threw in a couple of mere mentions that were slightly more important than some of the one-panel appearances. Also, there are some issues with the X-Baby Longshot, because he was just too cute to say no to. This is a work in progress, too, which is why there are a few "Pending"s below. As I continue to complete my collection of issues, I'll put them up.

Are You Sure?!
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Jon Bogdanove
Longshot Content: He's a supporting character, but then again, there's a lot of characters
tramping about in this one. He shows up halfway into the book out on a boatride with
Dazzler. He gets a page and a half in this book. On the return trip of a
grocery run, he dives into the ocean to find a sailor. Dazzler assumes he is one of
the ones reported lost and takes him back to Muir Island.

Longshot Content: There's bare Longshot chest in this one! Ahem. Couple more
pages of Longshot in this one. Longshot, Havok, and Dazzler rush from the
medlab outside to help their fellow X-Men in the apparent fight with the Fantastic Four.
[The sailor Longshot rescued last issue is shown to be a holograph-projecting robot

Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Jon Bogdanove
Longshot Content: There's some more Longshot here. He starts out debating Dr. Doom's
offer of help with Dazzler and Havok. Then he basically stands by while Havok
and Dazzler help an incoming Rogue in distress. Later, we get Longshot sparring with
the freshly-healed Storm. Acrobatics abound.

A Matter of Faith
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Jon Bogdanove
Longshot Content: Longshot does a little training with Wolverine and learns about this
soft stuff called snow. The first signs of Dazzler's attraction to Longshot shows up
when she calls him "sweetheart." An interesting note, it appears Havok is
slightly jealous of that. Later, the X-Men fight the Fantastic Four again, this time
Havok, Dazzler and Longshot make it in time to join to fracas by riding in a jeep. The big
brawl is summarily ended when Franklin Richards lectures all the adults about fighting.
Longshot shows up in the background during the celebration after Reed Richards pulls
through to save Shadowcat's life.

"The only problem was -- he didn't know what that Something was.

New Mutants

1985
Home is Where the Heart Is
Written By: Chris Claremont
Art By: Art Adams
Longshot Content: Here's a little description by way of
Kielle
[she was a gigantic help, everybody thank her!]: Warlock subsumes an Asgardian dragon to
survive; once he's fully charged up, he briefly assumes the form of Longshot full length
for one panel, in the classic New Mutants black-and-gold costume, techno-organics still
visible on his shins and in a streak down his left shoulder/chest.In this panel, he's
thinking:
"Even with integral systems functioning at peak efficiency, locating self's friends
will be a real
longshot
.
"In that case, self had better look the part.
"Query: is this humor?"
At this point Hel accosts and threatens him; Warlock gets spooked and flees, after two
more panels as Longshot -- one meek head-shot, one full-torso transformation into a flying
"pod" of sorts.

Art by: Kevin Lau
Longshot Content: Longshot is one of the rebels in this issue [Surprise, surprise.]
as Bishop and Deathbird end up in an alternate reality. The population of Earth is
under the control the New Shi'ar Empire, ruled by Alanna Nermani, daughter of Lilandra.
Anyway, Dazzler works for the Majestrix while Longshot works with Cable, Jubilee
now known as Vertigo, Falcon, and Wolverine. Anyway, there's a battle as there
always is in comic books and Longshot gets taken prisoner after he gets Vertigo out of a
tough spot with Sauron. He shows up later, dangling by chains above the Majestrix's
throne.
The Uncanny X-Men
Annual 10
1986
Performance
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Arthur Adams
Longshot Content: Longshot gets introduced to the X-Men, who he'll stay with for a bit.
The X-Men are turned younger in this issue, leading a precident for the X-Babies to
show up in two years on their own.
*Special Note* #210, #211, #212, #213, & #214 Longshot was an X-Men before the Morlock Massacre as Annual 10 takes place before those issues. He's not in the Morlock Massacre issues, nor in the issue where the X-Men fight Dazzler, who is under Malice's control. By accounts in a couple Marvel Age issues, Ann Nocenti and Arthur Adams were working on another Longshot miniseries, or possibly an unlimited series, that took place at the same time of the Morlock Massacre. However, the fans never caught sight of this second Longshot series. :( Longshot's regular appearances as an X-Man start with Uncanny issue #215.

in the gym, juggling bottles while balancing on a high bar no less.

June 1987
Charge of the Light Brigade

Where Duty Lies
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Bret Blevins
Longshot Content: The first appearance of an evil Longshot, even if it's only in Havok's dreams and delusions. He's in for a few panels and manages to save Dazzler from being fried by Havok.
Annual 11
1987
Lost in the Funhouse
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Alan Davis
Longshot Content: He plays a supporting character again [but then again, what do you
expect from a team-oriented book?] and he disappears halfway through the comic.
[Disappears is more literal in this case rather than he was forgotten and just didn't show
up again]. He reappears along with everybody else at the end of the book.
Though of note, this annual starts the fine tradition of Longshot showing up in his
underwear in annuals until his departure from the X-Men.

is a background character.
#227
March 1988
Fall of the Mutants: The Belly of the Beast

gets all clingy, as per usual.

&
I Want My X-Men!
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Art Adams
Longshot Content: Several versions of Longshot show up: a female Longshot, an animal
Longshot [chicken], and of course, X-Baby Longshot. X-Baby Longshot doesn't stick
around for all that long as Mojo turns him into a photograph. Dazz and Rogue fight
over the photo while the rest of the X-Babies fight Mojo's goons. But don't worry,
Longshot's fixed back to normal by the end [but Rogue and Dazz are still fighting over
him.]

Inferno Part the Third: Burn!
Written by: Chris Claremont
Art by: Marc Silvestri
Longshot Content: We see evil Longshot seduce Dazz to the dark side. Then he spends the

is acting like a surfer dude after a big victory where you basically did nothing.

Inferno Part the Fourth: Ashes

Eve of Desruction Part 3: Like Lambs to the Slaughter!
Written by: Scott Lobdell
Art by: Tom Raney
Longshot Content: He doesn't show up at all in this one, but I thought it bore accounting
as Dazzler describes what happened to the Mojoverse. [As a side note, I personally don't
believe this issue because the thought of AoA X-Baby Villians destroying an entire
dimesnion is ludicrous.] Dazzler does not know if Longshot is alive or dead, nor where he
is. [Which would be logical since the last time we saw Longshot he was already on Earth.]

Shattershot Part 3: The Historians of Tales To Come

Longshot Content: This is mainly a Spiral story, where she "reveals" her
origins. Longshot shows up in the two-page spread where Spiral weaves a tale of
being Ricochet Rita, Longshot's first cannonical love. [I don't particularly take that as
true as Spiral could very conceivably be lying to get herself some space. Also the
fact she was frothing at the mouth when she told this.]

The X-Men vs the X-Men! (Again)

Dialogue by: Scott Lobdell
Longshot Content: The 21 page conclusion of the story started back in X-Men #5.
Slightly anti-climatic. especially with Mojo's death. A throwaway line at the

"Dazzler: Beyond the Music"
Written by: Will Pfeifer

Longshot Content: Heh. This is an amusing look at Dazzler. Longshot shows up
in the very last panel of the story, not in the most favorable light, but the entire story
