This is one of the BOQs (bachelor officer quarters) on 'the Hill'. There were five or six, and they were near one of the perimeters as you can see. This was during the rainy season, that's why it's so misty looking - not just my usual shaky photography. And that's why it's so green and lush.

Officers, teachers and other civilian employees lived in these buildings. During the Vietnam conflict, they lived two people per one person room because Clark was so crowded. There were no kitchen facilities at all, but some people had hot plates. You can see refrigerators on some of the back porches of these rooms. And a couple of the porches are screened in - that gave the feeling of a little more living area. Also note that cars parked underneath the buildings. Of course, most of us didn't have cars then....
