The windshield washer pump did not work, so I bought an $8 universal replacement pump and wired it into the stock harness, leaving the harness uncut in case I can find a factory pump (cheap) later.  I mounted the universal pump on the fenderwell, just in front of the driver's side firewall.  I hid the wires with some split tubing and tried to make it look as stock as possible.

The driver's side valve cover leaked oil, causing a disconcerting amount of smoke to billow out from under the hood if the car was driven any length of time.   It took me almost 4 hours to install a gasket and the load spreaders on the valve cover.  It took so long because I didn't want to take everything apart like the manual said!  It probably would have gone quicker dismantling everything instead of wrestling the cover around all the smog stuff...

There is a salvage yard about five miles from my house that specializes in Camaros and Firebirds.  I bought a spare tire and jack set from them.

Some other things I have accomplished are: new rear brake calipers, new emergency brake cables, oil & filter change, trans fluid & filter change, and some paint ding repairs on the body.
