Biography

Samuel Michael Fraulino is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. His drawings, illustrations, paintings, and graphic arts reflect what he feels as an artist as opposed to what he sees. As Pablo Picasso once said,

" I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them."

Sam primarily paints in acrylic and watercolor. He uses abstractions of shapes and vivid colors to express an imaginative way of looking at the world. To perceive an idea or object, he uses an analytical approach. Using geometric shapes, he creates an expression of feeling. His paintings are non-objective. They are layered with intersecting shapes that create the image that you see. Each piece is a journey into his mind and experiences. His paintings capture the complexity of the real world through the use of shapes, vivid color, and line interaction.
