Our House
Our house was built by Toll Brothers, after Toll Brothers purchased the rights and name to Geoffrey Edmunds. Edmunds was a semi-custom builder here in Scottsdale, and as such, we were allowed to change anything we wanted from the list of 6 or 7 floor plans being offered, as long as they could find a sub-contractor to build it. There were no pre-set limits on adding or removing square footage, walls, or anything. If you click the thumbnail below, you'll see the final floorplan we ended up with.
We bought the 3 acre homesite in August of 2000, and finally moved in in June of 2003. Below are a few key features of the new house:- 6000 square feet of living space
- 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms
- Office, media room, sitting room, excercise room, pool table space, and bonus family room (aka kids play area)
- The media room: 3 levels of theatre seating, in a room with double thick sound-insulated walls, 10 foot screen, and digital surround sound speakers. Wanna play some XBox? Watch Star Wars?.
- Swimming pool with swim up bar, negative edge, and all the other fun stuff.
- 5 cars of garage. The 4 car garage houses the cars, trucks, and bikes, while the solo 5th car garage houses all of the tools.
