The Geoffrey Edmunds Landscape PlanHere's a quick walkthrough of the landscape plan: From the street you make your way several hundred feet down the driveway to the large turning area in front of the house/garage. This space is necessary for fire code reasons, due to the distance from the street. Extra parking has been made possible near the front door. From here, a simple pathway leads you to the front door, or optionally to the office door. The 4th car garage has a rear roll-up door for vehicular access to the back yard. When we first drew this out, I though the home would be closer to the steep slope on the west side of the house. Turns out, the "road" could have easily gone around the side of the garage, and thus that garage door will probably never be used. From inside the house, we primarily use the sliding glass door off the breakfast nook to access the backyard. From here, you descend a number of steps, to the first main patio area, which is about 50% covered. From this patio you can either make your way to the lawn or the pool area. The pool will has a set of 3 scupper fountains which pour into the pool, a negative edge (or disappearing edge) off the back, 5 sunken barstools make a swim up bar, and an adjacent lattice covered Ramada with BBQ center. The lines of the landscape and pool, are supposed to give an arrowhead affect, to guide your eye toward the view to the Northwest. Anyone up for a swim?
