The trademark of the Southwest Brass Quintet is providing entertaining educational assembly programs which allow the students to have fun while they learn.
Concerts are custom designed to fit your educational and seasonal needs. Much of the music performed is recognizable to the students. The students meet and become friends with the personable members of the Sizzling Southwest Brass.
The following are three examples of concerts which can be designed for your school.

American music is the music of the people! The Southwest Brass brings to life with colorful commentary and upbeat performance our rich heritage of classic American music. We will design this concert to fit your school's unique cultural personality.
The students are exposed to the marches of John Philip Sousa, the ragtime of Scott Joplin, Dixieland jazz and spirituals from the streets of New Orleans, our wild rendition of "Yankee Doodle," festive Mariachi street bands and music of the bullfight from Mexico, the Hispanic rock style of La Bamba, the TV heroes - "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and much more. The lifestyle and history of bygone ages comes to life during this show.
Exploration of the term "classic" is an underlying theme - that truly great music will stand the test of time because of it's quality, popularity, and appeal over an extended period of time. This show is popular throughout the school year.

A fun-filled introduction to "classical" music. "Klassics for Kids" pokes fun at our preconceptions of classical music and features up beat selections such as Handel's "Water Music" performed on the garden hose, Rossini's "Barber of Seville Overture" (complete with soprano impersonation), Rimsky-Korsakov"s "Flight of the Bumble Bee", and Leroy Anderson's "Bugler's Holiday". The music performed in this show can be altered to fit the needs of our audience.

"Meet the Top Brass" presents the brass instruments of the orchestra as your students have never heard them. "Tuba Tiger Rag", "Lassus Trombone", "Beauty and the Beast" featuring the French horn, the "Bullfight Song", "Trumpeter's Lullaby" and more feature the virtuosity of the artists of the Southwest Brass.
All three concerts provide a fun-filled introduction to "classical" music. Exploration of the term "classic" is an underlying theme. Truly great music stands the test of time because of it's quality, popularity, and appeal over an extended period of time.
