Protect Your Environment!

Join a pack of wolves and howl at the moon during this stirring slide/show concert. Sounds of nature, engaging and beautiful slides of wildlife, plants, and the environment along with captivating emotional music (familiar to the students) such as "Phantom of the Opera", "The Little Mermaid", "Waltz of the Flowers", the "Water Music", "Colors of the Wind" and more create a memorable impressionistic experience for the students.

Learning about and saving our environment is the educational focus of this show. The water cycle, food chain, pollution solutions, water, animals, and land as well as the 3 R's - reduce, reuse, and recycle are introduced.

Special sound effects of wolves, wind, waves, rain, thunder, birds, whales, etc. accompany the music and the engaging and often humorous narratives (featuring Henrietta the Havelina). The animals come to life as children's senses and imaginations are stimulated through the wonders of our environmental sights and sounds.

Not only will you receive an outstanding assembly program, but your students will be well prepared to enjoy the show to its fullest. We will send you informative teacher preparatory materials and a clever student follow-up sheet. Also, your school will receive 10 colorful posters to build anticipation for your "Howl With the Wolves" event.

When you book a Southwest Brass performance at your school you will have the peace of mind in knowing that you are bringing your students the best shows available, at the best price, packed with the highest quality educational and entertainment value in Arizona. We are so sure that your school will be delighted with our performance that we expect you to demand your money back if you are not. This is our unconditional guarantee to you.

Rave reviews from teachers and administrators........

"Congratulations and thank you for your highly innovative Southwest Brass programs for 12,000 Cartwright District students in 13 schools this spring. 'Howl With the Wolves' was extremely appealing with your variety of plant and animal slides, mixture of natural environmental sounds and produced musical sounds and emotional student participation as howling wolves communicating to save our earth; Ill never forget this emotional experience. The child is filled with great potential for imaginative expression and you allowed an opportunity for feelings to flow with expression."

          Margaret Ruccolo, DMA,
          District Music Consultant

"We were thrilled to have the Southwest Brass at Scales Development School on March 14, 1997. Their new presentation, 'Howl With the Wolves', is superb. Children of all ages identified with the slides of Arizona, empathized with the need for environmental clean-up, and celebrated the beauty of music."

          Dorothy Rasmussen,
          Principal,
          Scales Development School

"The Southwest Brass presented a unique assembly program incorporating slides and music in a very professional and exhilarating performance. The students truly appreciated their skills and excellent slides which promoted environmental awareness."

          Shirley Baker,
          Principal, Florence Elementary School

"The Southwest Brass has performed at John F. Long School six times in the past three years and has been well-received by our students. They have always been prompt, professional, and prepared. Their mix of visual and audio presentations reaches children who learn in non-traditional ways while exposing all students to the highest caliber of musical performance. They explain their program in a manner which can be understood by them but which is not condescending..........I would recommend the Southwest Brass as a group interested in reaching children through quality music. Our students learn while being entertained!"

          Susan Christensen,
          General Music Teacher,
          John F Long Elementary School

"Thank you so much for the delightful program you presented at Park Meadows Elementary School. 'Howl With the Wolves' fit perfectly into the Arizona studies that Arizona fourth graders are required to learn. Your choice of music was great--most of it was music familiar to the student, which made it all the more enjoyable for them. The slide presentation was excellent enrichment for the Arizona flora and fauna we have been studying.....As for myself, I found 'Howl With the Wolves' one of the most enjoyable programs I have ever attended as a teacher!"

          Wilma Lentz,
          4th Grade Teacher,
          Park Meadows El. School
